Just about me.

Well, it's been some time hasn't it?  Mostly this was due to a move from Suffolk to Hemel Hempstead moving from a Grade II listed building otherwise known as The Money Pit. Seriously, the more money we threw at it the worse the house became - it was like a sponge just soaking up the money. Now I'm in a very modern house with a very little garden which I share with husband Dave:

I also have  a 20 year old daughter, Millie who studies Musical Theatre and is about to go in to her third year.

We also have our son DJ who is now 24 and is a landscape gardener working his socks off in Suffolk.

So, I can hear you say - what do you work as? Well, I am currently trying to get a few acting classes under my belt with the lovely Jon Campbell. I have experienced many acting workshops before Jons but they weren't to the depth of Jons. You can find more about him here:

I haven't always been a trying-to-be-actor - in my past life I have been a Landscape gardener, Demonstrator, Sales person, Nursery Nurse, Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Business Studies Facilitator and Psychology Teacher.
However, whilst working at a college one day with a fabulous group of boys ranging from 16 -22, I realised that actually, I wasn't really happy. I had gone back to the college after the long Summer holidays and it just hit me that this wasn't what I wanted to do anymore. It wasn't Me.  I remember walking in to the Managers office with my resignation and feeling complete relief which was very odd as up to that time I had loved my job but somehow in the weeks of the Summer holidays a shift had begun. It was as if life was saying "Now get on and do what you are supposed to be doing, what your heart is telling you to do."
There was only one thing I really had a passion for and that was acting. I had acted on stage for over 20 years and I knew that whenever I approached a script that sense of anticipation, the creation of a character was what really excited me. However, I did know that I couldn't just throw in my job and proclain to the world "I am now an Actor!"  First things first and I tracked down a friend of mine who was working part time as an Extra - now known as Supporting Artistes. I thought that might be a good place to start, after all, I might hate the camera - worse of all it might hate me! So that is where it all began four years ago with me approaching one agency then getting to know people and listening to advice from people. There are a lot of 'know-it-alls' in this business but by choosing the right people to approach and gaining the right knowledge it is possible to almost earn a living from it!
Now, I have experience in Film, TV, Corporates, Music Videos - in fact most things - not just as a Supporting Artiste but and albeit at a very gradual pace, as an Actress.
A huge welcome to my Blog which I will endeavour to write at least a couple of times a week.
